Homelessness Services
UnitingCare Harrison has a range of services to help people who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, to access and maintain affordable housing. There are specific services for families, young people and those with multicultural needs. Interpreters are available if needed.
Our 'Opening Doors' service is part of a state-wide network making it simpler for people to access homelessness and social housing services.
We can help if you would like support with:
- Accessing and maintaining long-term, stable housing;
- Referrals to specialist support services, i.e. drug and alcohol, family violence, sexual assault, gambling, anger management, relationship counselling
- Getting out of the homelessness cycle;
- Assessing your housing options – i.e. private rental, rooming houses, social housing or public housing.
- Liaising with other agencies or services;
- Filling in a housing support application;
- Accessing educational, employment and training programs;
- Finding out more about life and living skills outreach services.
