A Place to Call Home
Program Objective
UnitingCare Harrison runs A Place to Call Home (APTCH) with funding from the Victorian and Federal Governments. This initiative enables selected clients living in transitional housing to have these properties transferred to long-term public housing without having to move from the property.
Our staff provide clients with intensive support for twelve months on the transitional lease and for a further two months after they become public housing tenants.
The A Place to Call Home program targets homeless families, specifically indigenous families and families escaping family violence.
