Student Placement

Are you a student interested in developing your professional skills within an educational and supportive environment? UnitingCare Harrison regularly offers placements to students studying a variety of courses including Certificate IV, Diploma, and Bachelor degrees.

'It has been wonderful seeing all the classroom theory translated into practical application... the range of services at UnitingCare Harrison is diverse and I've enjoyed seeing the way staff draw on their skills and past experiences in their work with those needing support.' Students interested in placement opportunities must complete the Expression of Interest (click here) and forward this via email to enquires@harrison.org.au or mail to PO Box 4503 Knox City VIC 3152.

Please note that Expression of Interest forms are accepted only during the advertised intake times:

• January 1st - February 28th (for late March / April start dates)
• April 1st - May 31st (for late June / July start dates)
• July 1st - August 31st (for late September / October start dates)
• October 1st - November 30th (for January / February start dates)
  

Harrison accepts one student at a time within each program at the discretion of the General Manager. If a number of applications are received then interviews may be arranged with prospective students. All students must provide a current (within 12 months) Police Check and have a Working with Children Card (if appropriate for the program) before undertaking the placement.

Please recognise that while students are welcome to attend our service, UnitingCare Harrison's core responsibility is to provide programs and a service to its clients.
